Power L is the smallest and cheapest controller of the Power family. It includes Motion Control, PLC and Operator panel with lcd color touch screen (HMI) available in 5.7” VGA and 7” WSVGA. It’s based on a powerful RISC processor working at 132 Mhz 32 bit interfaced to a non-volatile RAM at high speed. Thanks to its wide connectivity CANopen, Modbus (both serial and TCP/IP) and Ethernet (in Client/Server, FTP or WEB server mode) it offers automatic machine designers powerful performances at very convenient prices. For its high Connectivity it offers the opportunity to supervise and control functions of machines and plants with also the possibility to collect data on field from different kinds of sensors. This feature, besides being price friendly, allows designers to start a new technological development of machines considering the quick diffusion of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) due to the progressive execution of the European strategic plan Industry 4.0.

Power L is locally expandable with a cheap I/O expansion board via SPI or through Digital or Analog I/O modules via CANopen. As in all the controllers of the power family, it flexibly manages its resources. Regarding Motion Control, Power L can efficiently manage up to 2 interpolated axis in CANopen, 2 axis in analog +/-10V configuration and 2 axis in Step/Direction. It also has 2 inputs for incremental encoder for position feedback. Cyclical PLC and sequential CNC tasks, thanks to the rich and powerful set of instructions, allow the development of flexible automation applications which adapt to different fields. The Operator Panel (HMI) can be personalized with quick graphic interfaces. As it’s connected directly to the motherboard it’s not affected by possible delays due to the data serial exchange between the controller and the Operator panel. On the front panel there is an USB port to store and upload data, formulas, application programs and firmware on a pendrive. Backup and restore functions allow the update of the system.

Power i is the new axes controller with PLC and HMI integrated based on a powerful RISC DUAL CORE processor at 264 MHz 32bit interfaced to a non-volatile


high speed RAM with LCD graphic controller with resolution up to 1024x768. This feature permits you to use better mathematical libraries for 32 bit or 64 bit Floating Point calculations necessary for advanced Motion Control and CNC functions. Power i offers a considerable calculation power and application flexibility at low cost. This permits automatic machine designers to have powerful and flexible Motion control, PLC and HMI functions. The operator panel (HMI) is available from 10” to 15” in both versions with keypad and only Touch. Basic local I/O can be expanded with a cost-effective I/O expansion board connected in SPI. As for all the other controllers of the Power family, you can connect I/O modules in CAN open. Regarding Motion Control, Power i efficiently manages up to 4 interpolated axis through fieldbus. Thanks to its wide hardware peripherals, you can manage axis in analog +/-10V, in Step/Direction, Pwm/Dir and CAN open (Cia 402) and with an optional board it’s possible to manage I/O and axis in Mechatrolink-II or Ether CAT.

high speed RAM. Coming from Power P it confirms that a PAC controller with compact dimensions allows designers of automatic machines to have powerful Motion control, PLC and HMI functions at a good price. Its reduced dimensions permit HMI configurations from 7” to 15”. Moreover, for many applications it’s interchangeable with Power P both for the wiring and the software. Power J has a considerable number of on board I/O which can be locally expanded with a cheap SPI interface board or through CAN open I/O expansions. Regarding Motion Control, Power J can manage up to 4 interpolated axes interfaced in analog +/-10V, in Step/Direction and CAN open with Cia 402 profile. Power J is particularly recommended for applications like Cartesian and Scara robots, palletization, packaging, thermal and blade cutting and for many others applications where it’s requested a device which offers advanced functions for axes control with PLC and HMI at a very competitive price.
