Power Z is the new, compact and price friendly controller of the Power family. It includes simple and basic functions of Motion Control, PLC and a 7” WSVGA color touch screen operator panel. Its structure includes a powerful dual core RISC 264 Mhz processor. Thanks to the digital and analog I/O and to its wide connectivity like CANopen, Modbus RTU and Ethernet (in Client/Server, FTP or WEB server mode) Power Z is suitable for applications where it’s necessary to contain costs maintaining high performances. Connectivity offers the opportunity to supervise and control functions of machines and plants with also the possibility to collect data on field from different kinds of sensors. Connectivity, besides being price friendly, allows designers to start a new technological development of machines considering the quick diffusion of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) due to the progressive execution of the European strategic plan Industry 4.0. Power Z is locally expandable using a cheap I/O expansion board connected via SPI or through I/O modules connected via CANopen. Power Z manages the positioning of one axis in analog +/-10V with position feedback provided by incremental encoder, moreover it manages three Step Dir. or Pwm/Dir axes without position feedback. Thanks to a rich and powerful set of instructions, PLC, allows the development of flexible automation applications. The Operator panel (HMI) permits the development of personalized graphic interfaces. The exchange of data between the HMI and the PLC is quick and direct, unlike the traditional method of variables interchange. At the back of the controller an USB connector is available. It is possible to store and upload data, formulas, programs and firmware on a pendrive. Backup and restore allow the update of the system.
